We are seeking an experienced Technical Development Manager to lead a high-performing development team responsible for enterprise commercial applications, integrations, and digital platforms supporting a fast-paced business environment.
The successful candidate will oversee development operations, guide architectural and technical decision-making, and lead a team responsible for supporting and evolving customer-facing and business-critical platforms.
What you will be doing:
- Lead and mentor a team of Full Stack Developers and DevOps resources
- Oversee the delivery, enhancement, and operational stability of enterprise commercial applications and integration platforms
- Provide technical leadership across software development, integrations, APIs, middleware, and cloud-based solutions
- Support modernization initiatives and technical debt reduction efforts
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, infrastructure teams, and enterprise architecture groups to deliver scalable, reliable solutions
- Oversee application upgrades, enhancements, production support, and defect remediation activities
- Drive best practices across SDLC, DevOps, change management, security, and operational governance
- Manage external vendors, development partners, and integration providers
- Support architectural reviews, technical planning, and long-term technology roadmap initiatives
- Identify delivery risks, operational challenges, and opportunities for continuous improvement
Technology Environment:
The environment includes a mix of modern enterprise and digital technologies, including:
- Shopify Plus
- Cloud platforms (Azure & AWS)
- APIs and middleware integrations
- Enterprise commercial applications
- Custom-built integrations and applications
Required Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in software development, application delivery, or systems integration environments
- Previous experience leading and mentoring technical development teams
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices including Agile, DevOps, APIs, integrations, and cloud technologies
- Ability to guide technical teams and support architectural decision-making without being a hands-on developer
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale or customer-facing applications
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in complex, integrated enterprise environments
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and modernization initiatives
- Understanding of SOX compliance and IT General Controls (ITGCs) is considered an asset
