Job Title: IT Project Manager
Contract Length: 4 months (potential for extension or conversion to FTE based on funding and performance)
Location: WFH (once on site – Scarborough)
Our large financial client is seeking a seasoned IT Project Manager with Application Development experience for the Digital Money Movement that involves a large vendor and digital component.

Typical Day in the Role:
– Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
– Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
– Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
– Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
– Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
– Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
– Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
Must Have Skills/Requirements:
1) IT Project Manager working on application development (end to end PMLC) – 7+ years of professional experience
2) Working with multiple vendors – 5+ years of hands on experience
3) Managing budget and financials for projects from end to end ($2MM+) – 5+ years of hands on experience
4) PMP Certification
Nice to Have Skills:
– CA PPM – very nice to have (ideally 5 years of experience)
– FI/Banking experience (prefer one of the Big 5 – if Scotiabank, previous reporting Manager name is required****)
– Worked on Application development project
– Digital Currency or Money Program experience
– Jira & Confluence
– Agile experience
– Prefer candidate that is open to FTE conversion down the line*

– Ability to work in high demand and quick moving environment
– Ability to work with difficult stakeholders
– Team is always thinking scope change
– Want someone who can make recommendations based off scope
– Someone with a strong backbone
