Typical Day in Role
• Analyze performance of process activities, identifies problem areas, and presents findings in clear, concise charts, graphs, tables, or summaries.
• Establish standardized methods of recording, tracking and reporting on activity.
• Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes.
• Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
• Continuously look to improve/streamline control process for efficiency gains by understanding the end-to-end flow.
• Coordinate with multiple teams in the process flow to ensure efficiency.
• Identify real/potential gaps and fix/escalate accordingly.
• Assist in the design and development of metrics, reports, and analyses to support key business decision making.
• Modify, maintain, and support custom reports.
• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality.
• Assist to prepare and deliver regular reports, communications, and presentations, as necessary, to keep all levels of management informed.
• Suggest enhancements KRI and KPI reporting.
• Perform ad hoc work as needed

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 5-7 year as a BI/Data Analytics in a professional setting, (preferably in Financial Services or a similarly regulated industry in an operations setting)
• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.
• Proficient in SQL and scripting languages for data manipulation and transformation.
• Experience with software packages such as Power BI and Python

Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Prior FI experience

Soft Skills:
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction

Best vs Average: The best candidate for this role would be very experienced with Power BI, Python and SQL. The ideal profile would be someone who’s worked prior with a large team in a financial institution. As well it is preferred that the candidate not have any vacation booked for the duration of the assignment, a few days off are acceptable.

Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
