Typical Day in Role:
• Support the implementation of technology solution for capital markets trade position monitoring.
• Participate in the systems implementation process by defining business requirements and processes, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation and post-implementation support.
• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of deliverables through effective engagement with business users.
• Liaison with upstream and downstream system owners to understand the format and semantic content of data.
• Preparation of technical specifications and documentation for all the business requirements.
• Partnering with Development to ensure system requirements are realized while following standards and methodologies
• Working with large volume of data, scripting with SQL and Python is used to help analyze the regular data being fed through.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) Overall 8+ years as a BA, recent 5+ years must be in Capital Markets
2) Solid working knowledge of Capital Markets products such as equities, equity derivatives & collateral trading.
3) Must have 5+ years of experience in reviewing and understanding data, create / design transformation logics for ETL, and collaborate with different stakeholders to understand the data source and vendors to move data according to vendor expectations
4) Excellent communication skills to be able to take oral and written business requirements and translate them to technology solutions.
5) Proficient in using SQL/Python to Tweak the code as needed.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) SQL/Python programming skills is a plus.
2) Possess a very good understanding of current IT practices, systems development techniques especially requirements specification and testing methodologies and keep current with rapidly changing technology
3) middle office and Backoffice applications experience
4) Top 6 bank experience.
