Business Analyst
Typical Day in Role:
We require a Business Analyst to provide support for the project to revamp our personal banking credit cards reward calculator tool:
* Needs elicitation, JAD sessions, research spikes, story writing, etc., to create the new component which will inject vendor tool code onto AEM pages
* Development lifecycle support (devs and QAs)
* Documentation of new functionality
* Training of content managers on new functionality
* Content manager support during build process
• Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Pride yourself on analysis, logical thinking and problem-solving skills with a lean and agile mentality.
• Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
• Identify and report on common sources of technical issues or questions, and make platform recommendations to cross-functional teams.
• Stay on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues, and deliver better value to the platform and the digital customer experience.
• Work with cross-functional teams in determining the best edge cases to support reusability and scalability across the platform.
• Define and document the platform user requirements, while keeping an eye out for any important process opportunities.
• Define clear requirements by writing and updating agile stories.
• Support with backlog grooming and prioritization, and participate in test case definition and user acceptance testing.
• Understand how the organization’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
2) 2+ years’ experience with JAD facilitation
3) 1+ years’ experience with JIRA /Confluence
4) 3+ years of experience with UX design principles
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience with AEM highly preferable
2) Programming/developer background an asset
3) Demonstrated understanding of accessibility WCAG 2.0 AA guidelines
Soft Skills Required:
• Ability to create documentation clearly and concisely
• Strong collaboration skills, team player
• Strong communication skills (verbal + written)
Education: No specific education required – need good experience/skillset
