Story Behind the Need
Business group: Client Engineering – Microservices – team is responsible to work on microservices for mobile and web digital banking applications
Project: Instant Banking Access – it is related to product onboarding (how new and existing customers can onboard products digitally)

The candidate will be part of a collaborative software engineering team working on Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, NoSQL, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes
Typical Day in Role:
• Collaborate closely with a team of backend API developers, business system analysts, developers, and
architects to work on both new features and incremental improvements
• Develop and update automated test scenarios
• Bring new ideas on how to improve the test framework
• Create robust, repeatable automated testing solutions for our production software
• Develop both positive and negative test scenarios while working with business system analysts, developers,
and technical leads to test new features
• Help triage any issues automated tests uncover or any issue raised by production support, and
communicating closely with the development team
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 6-7+ years’ overall automation testing experience
2) 3+ years of experience in Java
3) 3+ years of testing for RESTful microservices APIs on Postman
4) 3+ years of experience in Load Testing (preferably with Locust and LoadRunner)
5) 5+ years’ experience in developing Unit Tests and Integration Tests using testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and RestAssured
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) 3+ years of experience testing Spring Boot applications
2) Python Scripting
3) Familiarity with OpenAPI Specification (OAS)/ Swagger, YAML, JSON
4) Working knowledge of SQL, SOAPUI
5) Experience working in a DevOps environment.
6) Experience with Java Build Tools: Maven or Gradle5
7 ) Automation Test Lead experience

Ideal candidate has all the must have requirements and 2/3 nice to haves; someone who has can take initiative, wouldn’t be waiting for instructions to proceed; a contributor self-starter type. Not only manual testing, strong need for expertise in automation.
