Typical Day in the role:
§ Soliciting and writing business requirements in response to the regulation
§ Executing and creating test cases
§ Defining business solutions for the requirements
§ Building controls around the solution (process, database solution)
§ Reading rules and understanding business requirements, writing test cases
§ Interact with the following stakeholders: Technology group, compliance, legal, and other business stakeholders (confirmations, settlements)
§ 25-30% in meetings/ working groups to understand how everything comes together and the overall impact
§ Run various regulatory controls, publish metrics, participate in project calls, etc.

Must have skills:
§ 8-10 years as a Business Analyst
§ 5+ Capital Markets experience
§ Recent project experience with regulatory trade reporting – CAT, SFTR, EBS preferred.
§ Well-balanced understanding of regulations in business and technology

Nice to have skills:
Experience with Electronic Blue Sheets, Consolidated Audit Trails
General understanding of operations and experience in any control functions.
