Communications Specialist
Typical Day in Role:
1.Support the evolution of business sales strategy and related priorities from a communications perspective :
-Support development of annual priorities and long-term consolidated strategy
-Contribute to identifying and prioritizing strategic initiatives across the organization
2.Contributes to event coordination for strategic sales programs, initiatives and sessions:
-Plan events supporting (Road Shows, Sales presentations, etc.)
-Includes setting agenda/theme, identification and booking of speakers, and managing venue bookings, including coordination of audio/visual, general on-site day-of coordination, working with venues, their vendors and internal parties (AV, cafeteria, RSVPs)
3. Upholds the effective functioning of Global Communications
-Facilitate a culture of open and honest communication by actively participating in and contributing to the generation of new ideas and approaches
-Build effective working relationships with key partners within and beyond Global Business Payments, Sales, Compliance, Marketing, and others
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 4+ years of experience working at one of the big 5 Canadian banks
2) 4+ years of experience Researching and Analyzing Data
3) Advanced Creative Design skills for PowerPoint presentations
4)Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Project
5)3+ years of Marketing experience
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1)Change Manager experience/experience being part of a change initiative
2) Working knowledge of accounting principles and statistical analysis
3)Customer Service Experience (specifically selling or training products/services)
Soft Skills Required:
– Creative thinker
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Proven ability to build and maintain effective business relationships
– Ability to negotiate and influence diverse stakeholders with competing priorities
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, business, marketing or related field
