Senior Full–Stack Software Developer

Typical Day in Role:
• Design, develop, and implement applications using in-demand languages and technologies to support business requirements.
• Working on roadmap items
• Back-end front end split – 50/50
• Tech stack: JavaScript: NodeJS, React, Jest (MERN Stack)
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling and analysis efforts.
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution.
• Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5+ years’ experience as full-stack developer
2) 3+ years of hands on experience with REST API design (what it is, how to use, integrating with it)
3) 3+ years of hands on experience with MERN Stack – MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js – please list years of experience with each
4) 2+ years of hands on experience with Modern JS toolsets (ES6+, Webpack, Babel, Jest) – the more have exposure to more of these the better
5) 3+ years of hands on experience Object Oriented and Functional Design

Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) 2+ years of hands on experience working with authenticated, customer focused applications (i.e. OAuth2 preferred)
2) 2+ years of hands on experience with HTML / CSS / SASS (BEM, OOCSS, SMACSS, CSS3 Animations, Semantic HTML) (the more have exposure to more of these the better)
3) Experience with service side rendering
4) Experience with accessible and internationalized applications (JAWS, Voiceover)
5) Experience in estimation

Soft Skills Required:
– Must have excellent communication skills, and be open to interacting with individual across all levels at the bank
– Stays up to date with industry best practice

Education:
Post-secondary in technical field like computer science, engineering

Best VS. Average Candidate:
Best will depend on work experience and complexity of projects – bigger projects and more complex better, have breadth of knowledge on how to work on intricate pieces; have strong recent experience with MERN specifically React and Node
