Typical Day in Role:
• Support the implementation of technology solution for capital markets trade position monitoring.
• Participate in the systems implementation process by defining business requirements and processes, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation and post-implementation support.
• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of deliverables through effective engagement with business users.
• Liaison with upstream and downstream system owners to understand the format and semantic content of data.
• Preparation of technical specifications and documentation for all the business requirements.
• Partnering with Development to ensure system requirements are realized while following standards and methodologies
• Working with large volume of data, scripting with SQL and Python is used to help analyze the regular data being fed through.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) Overall 10+ years as a BA.
2) 5+ years in Business Analyst experience within banking industry with recent experience in Capital Markets projects.
3) Must have 5+ years of Data analytics experience using technologies such as SQL/Python, experience in storytelling using the data.
4) Excellent communication skills to be able to take oral and written business requirements and translate them to technology solutions.
5) Solid working knowledge and some professional experience in Capital Markets products.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) SQL/Python programming skills is a plus.
2) Possess a very good understanding of current IT practices, systems development techniques especially requirements specification and testing methodologies and keep current with rapidly changing technology
3) middle office and Backoffice applications experience
4) Top 6 bank experience, Solid working knowledge of equities, equity derivatives & collateral trading
Education & Certificates:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Math, Finance, Computer science, Computer engineering or related field required
