Story Behind the Need
Business group: GBME – Risk Technology – Counterparty Credit Risk technology – As a member of the Counterparty Credit Risk technology team, you will be part of a project team responsible for various strategic projects that include building new functionalities to monitor additional counterparty limits as per regulatory findings, enhancements related to PFE aggregation and monitoring. Members of the team have responsibilities ranging from discussing new intake requests, documentation of solutions to existing issues, and participating in designing and developing strategic enhancements to the bank’s Risk technology platforms.
Project:
2 Projects:
Update Limit Framework – project related to counterparty aggregation and limit reporting – kickoff was last year and have new requirements which the contractors will be working on; possibility for extension – 2 contractors
CCR Infrastructure – project was recently initiated, includes a lot of different modules within the application and re-writing components, it is interesting as they will have direct visibility into legacy processes and how they have been modernized; project can extend into the next year as well – 2 contractors
Typical Day in Role:
• Work closely with the business teams to solicit and capture business and technology requirements and use cases.
• Lead the intake process with the stakeholders, and Technology teams, reviewing requirements, scope to enable teams to provide work estimation.
• Generate business requirements and documents that align to the policies to ensure that the new technology meets the needs of the business lines
• Collaborate actively with the delivery team to prioritize backlog and solution discovery ensuring ongoing management of sprints
• Work alongside developers and business teams to develop functions or technical requirements for new features, corrections and upstream changes
• Design functional test cases and carry out the testing independently concurrently with development.
• Provide technical solutions when needed and can contribute to code for smaller modules with minimum guidance
• Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills when conducting and facilitating interactions with stakeholders and management
• Exercise initiative and sound judgment in the execution of project plans and schedules.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 10+ years of experience as a BA/BSA or relevant experience
2) 5+ years of as Business analysis experience in technology-based projects within Capital markets
3) 5+ years of Experience with test case design, integration testing, and regression testing
4) 3+ years of recent experience with Unix, SQL (Postgres) and Python
5) 5+ years Previous experience with and knowledge of SDLC
6) 3+ years of recent experience with JIRA and Confluence
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Recent experience with Counterparty Credit Risk
2) Previous experience as a Lead is nice to have
3) Experience with modernization projects – specific to CCR infrastructure
4) Experience with counterparty aggregation and reporting – specific to Limit Framework
Soft Skills Required:
– A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level.
– Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions.
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.

Best VS. Average Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a Lead Business Analyst with strong experience in Capital markets space. Previous experience with Counterparty Credit Risk with modernization projects or counterparty reporting will be an asset.
