Start Date: ASAP Duration/end date: October 31/2027 OT requirements: No Hybrid work requirements: n/a Role Mandate: Highly experienced and collaborative Senior Finance Consultant to join our Business Management team supporting a portfolio of Technology teams. This role will be responsible for providing financial management, forecasting, budgeting, and business management support across a complex technology portfolio. The successful candidate will act as a trusted business management partner to Technology leaders and teams, working closely with Finance, Senior Technology Managers, Lead Technology Managers, Supplier Management, Sourcing, and other enterprise partners. The role will provide financial and business management guidance to portfolio teams while helping ensure effective management of budgets, forecasts, contracts, requisitions, purchase orders, and other financial and operational activities. Giving the selected candidate the chance to foster stakeholder relationships and collaboration across the the client ecosystem, providing exposure to key technology platforms and initiatives. Team Structure: The selected candidate will be working in a collaborative environment within a small group of 6, who are all responsible for managing different portfolios for IT projects across the client. Role Responsibilities: · Financial Management & Planning o Lead financial management activities for an assigned Technology portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and ongoing financial tracking o Partner with Technology leaders to develop annual budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and meet financial objectives o Monitor actuals against forecast, identify trends and variances, and provide insights and recommendations to portfolio leadership o Support financial planning activities throughout the fiscal year, including reforecasts, funding requirements, and financial adjustments o Provide financial guidance and challenge to ensure portfolio decisions are aligned with financial objectives and governance requirements o Prepare and present financial analysis, reporting, and executive-level summaries as required · Business Management & Portfolio Support o Act as a Business Management partner and trusted advisor to assigned Technology portfolio teams o Provide guidance to portfolio teams on financial management, funding, approvals, procurement, vendor management, and other business management activities o Work closely with Technology leaders and stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into actionable financial and operational plans o Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting, and overall financial management practices within the portfolio o Support leadership with ad hoc analysis, business cases, presentations, and decision-support materials · Contract & Vendor Management Support o Partner with STO and LTO teams to support contract renewals and ongoing vendor financial management o Review contract renewal requirements, financial impacts, pricing, and funding needs to support informed business decisions o Assist portfolio teams with developing financial business cases and approval submissions for contract renewals and other expenditures o Work collaboratively with Supplier Management, Sourcing, Finance, and Technology stakeholders throughout the contract renewal process o Monitor contract-related financial commitments and ensure appropriate funding is identified and available · Procurement & Financial Operations o Support portfolio teams with requisitions and Purchase Order (PO) requests, ensuring appropriate financial information, approvals, and funding are in place o Provide guidance on financial processes and requirements related to requisitions, POs, invoices, funding transfers, and other financial transactions o Partner with Finance and Procurement stakeholders to resolve financial or operational issues and facilitate timely completion of requests o Help ensure financial activities are completed in accordance with established policies, controls, and governance requirements · Stakeholder Management o Build strong working relationships with Technology leaders, STO and LTO teams, Finance, Supplier Management, Sourcing, Procurement, and other enterprise partners o Serve as a key point of contact for financial and business management matters within the assigned portfolio o Facilitate discussions across multiple stakeholder groups to resolve issues, align on financial requirements, and drive activities to completion o Communicate complex financial information clearly to both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders Qualifications 3-7 years of relevant experience Finance Consulting/similar roles duties (“full cycle”: budgeting consulting, forecasting consulting, variance analysis, scenario modeling and presentations) Experience with developing and presenting data to high level stakeholders Experience with MS office tools especially Power BI (Dashboard literacy), Powerpoint etc. Core Skills IT Industry experience Finance or relevant business education
