Senior CICS Systems Programmer

We are seeking an experienced Senior CICS Systems Programmer to support and maintain enterprise CICS infrastructure within a large-scale z/OS mainframe environment. The successful candidate will provide hands-on systems programming expertise while supporting CICS-related projects, application development teams, and the ongoing performance and evolution of the environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain and support CICS infrastructure on z/OS Support CICS, CICSPlex and CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG) Provide technical support and consultation to CICS application development teams Participate in the planning, design, build, testing and implementation of CICS-related initiatives Troubleshoot complex CICS and z/OS infrastructure issues Support performance analysis and optimization Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members Collaborate with architecture, development and infrastructure teams Qualifications 5–10 years of CICS systems programming and/or application experience Strong knowledge of CICS, CICSPlex and CTG internals and external interfaces Strong understanding of z/OS components and architecture Experience with z/OS and CICS diagnostic tools Working knowledge of SMP/E, OMEGAMON and System Automation Experience with IMS, Db2, WAS for z/OS and z/OS Connect is an asset CICS performance analysis and tuning experience is an asset Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills College/university education or equivalent relevant experience
