Senior Developer – ServiceNow

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week (Possible OT)

Story Behind the Need
Business group: Global Technology Enterprise Platforms (GTEP)
Project: GTS – Service Support. PAM transformation project. Onboarding to ServiceNow. Onboarding ServiceNow Workflow for backend integration
Contributes to the overall success of the ITSM engineering team under Global Enterprise & Technology Platforms (GTEP). Utilize the ServiceNow cloud-based workflow platform to provide enterprise IT Service Management, Asset Management and Operations Management in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Ensure team goals, plans, and initiatives are delivered in support of business strategies and objectives.

Candidate Value Proposition:
The main function of a Developer is to design, develop, and implement applications using general languages and technologies (e.g. – ServiceNow, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular, REST and SOAP Integrations) to support business requirements on the Service Now platform.

Typical Day in Role:
• Analyse highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
• Works closely with customers, Business Analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
• Involved in the full system lifecycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget
• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Champions in high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communications vision/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• Overall, 8-10 years of experience as a IT Developer.
• 3-5 years of development experience in ServiceNow. With hands-on experience with Service Now troubleshooting and developing the solution within the Service Now platform.
• Overall- 3-7 years of experience with JavaScript
• ServiceNow Advanced System Administration certified, or training is a Must
• 3+ years of experience in systems design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies
• Hands on experience in working on the Service Now platform as a developer using ACL's, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Rest and SOAP.

Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Ability to do research and development of new ways to leverage the ServiceNow platforms
2) Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC
3) Experience with PAM (CyberArk) is highly preferred
4) Possess in depth knowledge of single large or multiple small applications
5) Ability to work on systems integration projects
6) Ability to troubleshoot issues independently
7) ITIL Foundation certification or training

Soft Skills Required:
• Good communication skills
• Good time management skills to work on multiple assignment
• Ability to analyse complex situations.
• Ability to present to stakeholders.
• Is a good team player.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required or experience in the related field
• ServiceNow admin, ITIL, training or certification

Best VS. Average Candidate: The ideal candidate will have strong experience with ServiceNow CAD or Service Catalogue and system integration is great to have. Experience in ServiceNow for more than 5 years and has worked on ServiceNow transformation project.

2 rounds of video interviews
– 1st round: With Development lead. Technical assessment with a possible Live codility test
– 2nd round: With HM and Project team. Situational and Behavioural fit
