Location Address: Hybrid – Scarborough – 2 days/month – 1st Tuesday of month and 2nd is based on everyone’s availability, typically 3rd Thursday of the month

Typical Day in Role:
• Back-end / front-end – most work is back end – 80/20 back-end front end
• Tech stack – Java 8 / 11; Angular / React; MSSQL DB; Springboot Framework
• Participate in client calls and understand requirements
• Break down and document requirements in HLDs and LLDs
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 8+ years’ experience as a Developer
2) 6+ years’ experience with Java 8 / 11
3) 4+ years’ experience with Angular / React
4) 6+ years’ experience with MSSQL DB
5) 1+ year experience with Springboot Framework
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience with front end development
2) Understanding of Agile methodology
3) Banking / Fintech Experience
4) Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Github, Bitbucket
Soft Skills Required:
• Communicating and coordinating requirements with external teams
• Documenting requirement analysis
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Ideal candidate is accountable and is a team player; someone who has strong back-end but also has front-end experience so they can assist with those tickets when they come up; good communication, should be able to speak up in meetings, comfortable with Agile environment
