Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) – Supporting technology team in planning, testing, and ensuring compliance with global BC/DR processes.
Role Overview:
This role will coordinate and oversee Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) planning and testing. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, update plans to reflect evolving risks, and manage third-party exit and transition strategies. The position temporarily covers responsibilities for a Director currently on short-term disability.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure BC/DR plans comply with internal standards and external regulations
Regularly review and update plans to reflect business and risk changes
Implement global BC/DR processes across the organization
Manage third-party exit/transition plans and review SOC 2 reports
Conduct stakeholder meetings to identify dependencies and gaps
Facilitate simulations and document strategies
Align DR strategies with operational and compliance standards
Daily Activities:
Host and lead meetings with business and technology stakeholders
Collaborate with leadership to identify and address staffing or technical gaps
Document requirements, analyze risks, and prioritize tasks
Conduct simulations and share findings with leadership
Ensure DR plans are aligned with third-party and internal standards
Candidate Requirements – Must Have:
1. 4+ years of experience in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery
2. Strong communication skills across all levels of leadership
3. Security background with understanding of DR principles
4. Proven stakeholder management experience
Nice-to-Have Skills:
1. Familiarity with financial institutions and regulatory environments
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
