The main function of an Applications Developer is to design, develop, and implement applications using Workday tools and technologies to support business requirements.
Typical Day in Role
• Analyze highly complex business requirements
• Generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Support workday HCM and maintenance and improvement
• Develop Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS Reports, BIRT, Webservice, Extend, Payroll integrations (PECI, PICOF), Business processes and creating validation rules.)
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Workday integration issues
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5+ years’ experience configuring Workday integrations (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS Reports, BIRT, Webservice, Extend, Payroll integrations (PECI, PICOF), Business processes and creating validation rules.) in enterprise environment
2) Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
3) Experience with Agile delivery
4) 5+ years’ experience with HR Systems. Working experience using Workday and/or ADP Global View (Payroll systems) and familiarity with SaaS applications like Compass, Salesforce
5) Building workday integrations between workday and source systems (internal) and external vendors
6) Requirements gathering experience is a requirement as you will occasionally be working closely with the business to identify technical requirements.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience with payroll systems other than workday payroll an asset
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Certifications: Workday Certified preferred
