Typical Day in Role:
• Define and document the structure, connections and relationships of business processes, organizational work groups, data models, applications, user interfaces, applications interfaces, infrastructure, and network topology.
• Provide standards, guidelines, and statements of direction for IT system architectures, establishing a framework that constrains the design of systems for the purpose of integration of systems and accessibility of data supporting various business processes and functions.
• Define, design, and develop the enterprise systems information architecture to enable cross functional operational reporting and performance optimization.
• Identify strategic opportunities and drive cross-business and cross-functional change.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 10+ years of experience in enterprise and solution architecture, with demonstrated understanding of applications, structure connections, relationships of business processes
2) 10+ years’ experience to demonstrate an understanding of ITIL and SDLC
3) 10+ years’ experience in business system application design, development, and installation
4) 10+ years’ experience designing and implementing advanced application architectures
5) 10+ years’ experience in planning/architecture development and support.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) FI / banking experience an asset
2) Experience with BIAN and business capability modelling
3) SharePoint management experience
4) Experience with BNS/client
Soft Skills Required:
• Strong communication skills to be able to present to senior stakeholders
• Documentation skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree – in Business or Management Information Systems an asset
Solution/ Enterprise Architecture certifications an asset
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Strong senior technical Solution Architect who also has strong soft skills to be able to communicate with senior stakeholders; should be able to host workshops, gather information and work through solutioning with all parties, with minimal hand holding
