Project: The Marketing Tagging & Implementation Specialist (Contract) is a hands-on marketing analytics and implementation specialist responsible for advancing digital measurement capabilities through best-in-class tag management, marketing analytics, and Adobe Web SDK migration.
Embedded within Small Business & Channel Analytics, this role supports enterprise digital marketing and banking initiatives by owning and evolving the tagging and data collection layer across web and mobile platforms. The incumbent brings deep expertise in Adobe Launch and/or Google Tag Manager, marketing pixels, server side and enhanced tagging approaches, and privacy first measurement frameworks.
This role works closely with Marketing, Analytics, Media, and IT teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and future ready analytics implementations that enable campaign measurement, optimization, personalization, and audience activation across paid and owned channels.
Typical Day in Role:
Marketing Tagging & Implementation
• Own and manage enterprise marketing tagging frameworks, including implementation and governance across Adobe Launch and/or Google Tag Manager.
• Implement, maintain, and optimize marketing pixels supporting Paid Media, onsite measurement, and audience activation (e.g., Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok).
• Ensure tagging solutions support accurate campaign measurement, attribution, and downstream analytics use cases.
Adobe Analytics & Web SDK Migration
• Lead and support the migration from Adobe Analytics JavaScript implementations to Adobe Web SDK, ensuring no loss of critical marketing, behavioral, or conversion data.
• Validate event schemas, data layers, and tagging logic to ensure alignment with analytics and marketing requirements.
• Partner with Analytics, Marketing, and Technology teams to ensure implementation accuracy and long term scalability.
Advanced Tag Management & Server-Side Enablement
• Support and implement enhanced tagging approaches, including Conversion APIs (CAPI), server side tagging, and event forwarding where applicable.
• Improve data reliability and signal quality for marketing platforms while aligning with evolving browser and privacy constraints.
• Collaborate with platform, analytics, and media partners to enable durable measurement solutions.
Data Privacy & Consent Management
• Manage the collection, storage, and use of marketing and behavioral data in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support consent management frameworks that govern firing of marketing tags and pixels based on user preferences.
• Track, document, and validate consent signals to support audit, compliance, and governance needs.
Cross-Functional Enablement
• Act as a subject matter expert for marketing analytics and tagging, supporting Media, Marketing, and Analytics teams with implementation guidance.
• Translate marketing measurement requirements into technical tagging solutions that balance business needs, data quality, and compliance.
• Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of digital marketing measurement through strong implementation foundations.
Innovation & Best Practices
• Stay current on marketing analytics trends, platform updates, privacy changes, and emerging tag management best practices.
• Continuously evolve tagging and implementation approaches to support personalization, audience activation, and advanced measurement use cases.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1. 10+ years of hands-on experience in marketing analytics and digital tagging implementation
2. Deep expertise managing Adobe Launch and/or Google Tag Manager in complex enterprise environments
3. Strong experience implementing and governing marketing pixels across paid media and digital platforms
4. 8+ years configuring web and mobile analytics solutions supporting marketing and performance measurement including JavaScript (intermediate skill level)
5. 2+ years of experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Web SDK, Real-Time CDP (RTCDP), Adobe Target, and Event Forwarding
6. Practical experience with Conversion APIs (CAPI), server-side tagging, or enhanced conversion frameworks
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Experience designing data layers to support analytics and marketing activation use cases
• Experience with visualization and dashboarding for marketing performance analysis
• Experience presenting tagging strategies, measurement approaches, and insights to non-technical stakeholders
Soft Skills Required:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for marketing audiences
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver against deadlines
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and disciplined in documentation and governance
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related technical field
