Solution Architect Data & Analytics
Our client is looking for a Solution Architect Data & Analytics to join their growing team!
Manager Notes:
– They would strictly be working on architecture.
– Migrating user-based insurance data
– Performing analysis of Oracle Database and determining where data should go
– They have a base template already but would be establishing new streams
– Responsible for backup and ransomware (there is a template)
– 2 days per week; can split between mississauga & Toronto office
What you’ll do here:
- Be part of a high-profile team with a multitude of opportunities to deliver transformative data solutions to our business customers.
- Continue to develop and evolve the Enterprise Data Platform architecture and integrations with our systems and market tools.
- Collaborate with members of various technical teams to develop solutions that address the needs of our key data customers.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure adherence to EA principles and guidelines.
- Develop scalable and robust architectures that can support the growing volumes of our data environments.
- Deliver architectures that meet our enterprise security and data protection standards.
- Ensure the architecture is aligned with our corporate vision and objectives, while being able to propose innovative new approaches to problem solving.

What you need:
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology/software engineering or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5-7 years’ experience in a Solution Architecture role.
- Experience architecting data pipelines in the cloud.
- Experience working with AWS services, including S3, EC2, Lambda.
- Experience building data warehouses and data marts in the cloud.
- Experience migrating traditional on-prem EDW data integrations to the cloud.
- Experience working in Agile delivery.
- Bilingual (French & English) (asset) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
- Experience with Data Bricks, Informatica IICS and PowerBI (asset).
- Experience with Data Vault (asset).
- Experience in Snowflake (asset).
- Experience with Power Designer (asset).
- Certification in an Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF or similar) (asset).
- Experience with the CGI RCDA architecture approach (asset).
