Position: Associate/Director/Consultant – Cognos & Power BI Reporting Developer
(5+ years experience)

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain interactive Cognos reports, dashboards, and semantic models to support business decision-making and analytics.
Build and optimize Cognos Framework Manager models and ensure best practices in report development and data visualization.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to gather requirements and deliver high-quality Cognos reporting solutions.
Integrate data from various sources, perform ETL processes, and ensure data quality and consistency.
Leverage GenAI, Copilot, and AI-driven tools to enhance reporting automation, testing, and developer productivity.
Develop and maintain documentation for Cognos data models, report logic, and data flows.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of Cognos reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Support end-users with training, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancements to reporting solutions.
Exposure to Power BI for report development and dashboarding is a plus.

Required Technical Skills:

5+ years of hands-on experience in Cognos report and dashboard development, including Framework Manager and semantic modeling.
Strong expertise in Cognos BI best practices, data modeling, and report optimization.
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Experience with ETL processes, integrating data from multiple sources, and ensuring data integrity.
Solid understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
Demonstrated experience or strong interest in leveraging GenAI, Copilot, or AI-based tools for reporting, automation, or testing, including automated test case generation.
Experience with automated testing and testing frameworks.

Additional Skills (Good to Have):

Exposure to Power BI report and dashboard development.
Familiarity with Python, Shell scripting, or other programming languages.
Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong team player, dynamic, and eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in finance, investment banking, or related domains is a plus
