Job Description

Key Responsibilities • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. • Leverage strong business knowledge, act as a trusted advisor, provide value-added advice and independent effective challenge to business lines in their fraud risk management, utilizing key operational risk management tools such as Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSA). • Develop strong partnerships, stay abreast of business priorities and act as the main point of contact to business line internal control teams, Global Fraud Management and applicable corporate support functions globally. • Proactively identify opportunities and support enhancement to fraud risk oversight practices. Provide insight to support the enhancement of the Bank's operational risk management framework tools, methodologies and program. • Collaborate with other non-financial risks specialist areas as well as second line operational risk teams globally to ensure holistic approach: Stays up to date on all relevant internal, external risk events and industry development in order to drive awareness and focus on managing top and emerging risks. • Support various regulatory requirements as requested by OSFI/Internal Partners. • Support overall Fraud Risk Oversight team mandate and deliveries as required; support team initiatives to enhance overall fraud risk oversight practice and continue to build up team capabilities; support the overall department and other Bank units as required. • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with the client’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. • The incumbent works directly with business line internal controls, Global Fraud Management and other business partners to provide oversight and ensure delivery of the operational risk tools in compliance to our policy and framework as well as sound operational risk management practice. • The incumbent is expected to proactively identify opportunities to enhance fraud risk oversight practices as well as to provide input for overall fraud risk program enhancement. • The incumbent is expected to be familiar with the operating environment of the Bank, with strong knowledge of the business, product and end to end processes of the Bank. • Needs to maintain current awareness of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in operational and fraud risk. Needs to maintain timely awareness of external events related to the business line as well as any relevant operational and fraud risk aspects. • Required to manage and execute diverse activities and projects concurrently. Schedules are often influenced by changing priorities. The individual may need to adjust plans and schedules at short notice and work the required hours to meet those changing conditions and deliver the Department’s multiple priorities on a timely basis. • For complex issues, the incumbent is expected to gather relevant information, synthesize findings, identify options and confer with reporting director and GOR management for resolution. Required Qualifications • 5+ years experience in business management, internal control, risk management, compliance, audit, or related areas with a fraud focus (fraud analyst, fraud investigator/governance) • Strong knowledge of banking businesses, products, services and end-to-end processes • Strong Proficiency with MS Suite (Excel) • 3+ years of experience leading and challenging fraud risk assessments and/or developing strong fraud control environments • Strong awareness of fraud typologies and emerging risks Preferred Qualifications • experience with risk related project roll-outs • experience with AI tools (Copilot) • PowerBI to create reports Soft Skills • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills working with senior levels of management as well as global teams. • strong communication skills • strong time management skills • strong analytical and influencing skills Education and Certification University degree in business, or other related fields is required.
