Position Overview The successful candidate will not only have the opportunity to gain valuable experience at a top 5 Canadian bank, but also the opportunity to work with cross functional teams. The candidate will be working hands on with some of the latest banking technologies and forward thinking in fast paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop, test and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and Microservices. Build responsive web applications using Angular and/or React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3. Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift. Integrate applications with enterprise systems, databases, messaging platforms and third-party services. Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Refinement, Daily Stand-Ups and Retrospectives. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews and release management activities. Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions while adhering to security, compliance and operational standards. Required Qualifications • 8+ years of Full stack development experience. • 5+ years of Strong hands-on experience with: • Java (11/17+) • Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA • RESTful APIs and Microservices Architecture • Angular and/or React • SQL and NoSQL databases • Git, CI/CD and Agile delivery practices • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Preferred Qualifications • Banking or financial services experience. • Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, Event-Driven Architecture and API security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT). • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Grafana. • Cloud certifications and experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
