Project: Working on Project Synergy- Creating product comparison functionalities for credit cards. At the beginning phase.

Typical Day in Role:
• Creating experiences that help our customers navigate their finances through Scotiabank.com and all of our digital properties.
• Produce compelling designs to illustrate concepts and greatly influence experiences that touch 90M+ users every year
• Consume and contribute to a design system, and advocate for its usage
• Act as design owner through conception, build and sites going live
• You will understand our users, leveraging rigorous design research and usability principles as well as your intuitive design sense
• You will meticulously consider user interactions and journeys and act as an advocate for the constant improvement of both
• Adhoc research and usability testings
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1. 2+ years of experience designing responsive web or mobile sites, with an emphasis on the ability to communicate using rapid visual design techniques
2. Strong skills on both user experience and visual design.
3. High level of technical acuity with an understanding of front-end technologies
4. Experience with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, along with proficiency in at least one type of prototyping software (InVision, Axure, Proto.io, etc.)
5. Good understanding of analytics and experience on Data Visualization Projects
Nice to have Skills:
End to end understanding of designer research techniques
• Experience in Javascript, CSS, HTML

Education:
Post-secondary education in interaction design, human factors, HCI, or a closely related field
Candidate Review & Selection:
o 1st round with hiring manager (30 minute interview ) 2nd half with panel (45 minutes to 1 hour interview – be prepared to present your portfolio/projects)
