Technical Business Analyst- Capital Markets

Typical Day in Role
• Gathering requirements from business and converting them into technical requirements for developers
• Making production environment more robust
• Collaborate with developers to automate end-to-end flow, as well as business users
• Assist with project production stage and automating tasks
• Participate in the systems implementation process by defining business requirements and processes, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation, providing user training, and providing post-implementation support.
• Partnering with Development to ensure system requirements are realized while following standards and methodologies
• Liaison with upstream and downstream system owners to understand the format and semantic content of data
• Formulate system scope and objectives, and validate the development requirements, testing, training and implementation of application(s)
• Preparation of technical specifications and documentation for all the business requirements
• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of deliverables through

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 5+ years’ experience as a technical BA
• 2+ years’ experience writing SQL queries
• 2+ Capital markets experience (preferably market risk management)

Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Unix experience is an asset
• Experience in FRTB implementation is an asset
• Familiarity with Python or any coding language is an asset
• Scheduling tool such as Airflow

Soft Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Team Player
• Proactive and able to take initiative

Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Completion or pursuing of CFA or FRM are assets
