Technical Analyst/ Oracle Solaris/ RHEL

Typical Day in Role:
• Working on project end-to-end to define procedure/processes and push changes through delivery.
• Providing application support tasks (OS Level and Application Level).
• Addressing vulnerability issues and working with L2 support for OS issues.

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:
1. You have at least 3+ years of progressive & current hands-on technical working experience with the systems administration of Oracle Solaris (Sun Solaris).
2. You have at least 3+ years of progressive & current hands-on technical working experience with the systems administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
3. You can demonstrate hands-on technical working experience in supporting application / web servers (e.g., Apache Tomcat®, Red Hat® JBoss®).
4. You can demonstrate a technical working knowledge of critical business application support from a systems perspective.

Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Previous exposure to the banking industry/financial services is an asset
• Working experience as an Oracle WebLogic administrator
• Working experience in the use of korn shell (k-shell) scripting to perform automation tasks.

• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
• Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences.
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.

Education:
• Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field required
