Technical Analyst- AxiomSL

Typical Day in Role
– Support production regarding the monthly regulatory reporting schedule
– Use AxiomSL software for regulatory reporting.
– Assisting in configuring data in AxiomSL to complete monthly reporting that is to be submitted to regulators.
– Will not be writing line-by-line code, but using tool to configure data sources and filtering logics.
– Trouble shoot issues within the reports
– Configure new data pipeline in AxiomSL for new OSFI high leveraged lending report
– Attending meetings and working in a Waterfall environment
– Working alongside business report owner and business testing team to ensure regulatory needs are met
– Gathering required documentation and accurate record keeping

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 3+ years’ experience with AxiomSL
• 7+ years’ experience writing advanced SQL queries
• 5+ years’ experience within a financial institution
• Excellent technical documentation skills

Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Experience with financial regulatory reporting is an asset
• Experience with Power BI is an asset
• Experience with ETL tools such as Datastage or Talend
• Python experience is an asset

Soft Skills:
– Strong written and verbal communication with downstream and upstream teams to resolve gaps in analysis or development
– Proactive in finding solutions
– Strong teamwork capability

Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
