Systems Engineer to support our Real Estate Infrastructure

The Information Technology Services department of one of our client is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our Real Estate Infrastructure technologies. This person will report to the Senior Manager of the Real Estate Infrastructure team and will work in a group setting and alongside specialists in other infrastructure disciplines including networks, storage, virtualization etc.
The successful candidate will participate in implementations, upgrades, and the day-to-day operations of our Canadian real estate technologies including Audio/Visual systems, Video Conferencing, physical security systems, digital signage and other collaboration tools.
Please note, this role is currently being offered as a 1-year contract and based in Toronto.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide operational support of services related to Real Estate Infrastructure including but not limited to all audio-visual, videoconferencing and physical security systems
• Proactively monitor and manage audio-visual, videoconferencing and physical security systems
• Performs preventative maintenance to insure equipment and room is ready for use
• Responsible for identifying defective/failed equipment and owns issues until resolved
• Open service calls with vendors and manage them throughout the process
• Administer Windows 2012 and Windows 2016 servers
• Collaborate with other IT teams as required
• Develop and maintain documentation on systems management and operational procedures
• Manage and document system configurations following ISO 27001 standards
• Follow operational policies and processes that are compliant with ITIL standards
• Participate in change control activities
• Must be fully fluent in written and spoken English (French is an asset)
• Completed a post-secondary program, preferably in computer science or a related discipline
• Minimum 5+ years supporting audio-visual systems
• Very good knowledge of digital signage
• Demonstrated customer service orientation with exceptional relationship building abilities
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting incidents and performing root cause analysis
• High degree of pro-active initiative, drive, self-motivation, ability to learn, responsiveness and good judgment
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks around changing priorities
• Able to work effectively in a virtual team-based environment
• Team player, able to work collaboratively at all levels of the organization and build partnerships with cross-functional teams spanning multiple services
