Typical Day in Role:
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Works closely with customers, Business Analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
• Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget.
• Contributes to the design of new applications and undertakes enhancements.
• Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
• Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design; performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.
• Provides guidance and training to less experienced analysts and programmers.
• Provides Level 3 application support and coordination when application problems occur.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
• Champions a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:
1. 3+ years of ServiceNow experience, focused on the IT Asset Management Modules (ITAM) such as Enterprise Asset Management and Software Asset Management
2. ServiceNow System Administrator certified
3. 3+ years of working experience in systems design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies
4. 3+ years of working experience with JavaScript
5. Proven experience working on at least 4 projects simultaneously
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• ITIL Foundation certification or training
• ServiceNow Scripting certification or training
Soft Skills:
• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
• Good time management skills to work on multiple assignments
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.
Education:
• Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field required
