Senior Java Developer (AWS)

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing technology team supporting sophisticated investment and trading applications. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone with strong Java development, software design and AWS experience, who enjoys solving complex problems and building scalable, high-quality solutions. You will work closely with portfolio managers, traders, operations teams and technology partners, providing direct exposure to the business and the opportunity to help enable new trading capabilities. This opportunity is open to subcontractors. What You Will Do Design and develop scalable, maintainable Java applications and solutions. Partner with portfolio managers, traders, operations and technology teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective software solutions. Manage timelines and deliverables to support successful project delivery. Develop solutions that improve efficiency and scalability and enable new trading activities. Support knowledge transfer through application demos, walkthroughs and documentation. What You Bring Very strong Java development experience, including strong coding, analytical and software design skills. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines on AWS. Strong knowledge and experience with Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service). Proven expertise in software design and system analysis. Demonstrated ability to write high-quality, maintainable code. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
