Job Title: Scorecard Developer
Duration: 6 months
Location: Toronto
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Business:
• Gather and document project requirements
• Answer emails in a timely and knowledgeable fashion
• Work proactively and collaboratively with team members and business partners
• Take initiative and ownership of projects and issues
• Field inquiries from front-line employees, and escalate queries when applicable
Technical:
• Develop and maintain various scorecard reports using specialized query and database tools – SAS, SQL, and Microsoft Reporting Services
• Act as subject matter expert on one or more of Client’s Business Banking Segment sales forces, channels, product lines, or customer segments by becoming intimately familiar with:
• Data in Client’s various data warehouses
• The scorecard production process including various servers and software
• Salesforce and/or product business information – including processes, pricing, incentives, product offerings, etc.
• Monitor a weekly production process independently and troubleshoot as needed
Must-Have Skills:
• 3-5 years of data analysis, manipulation and consolidation, ideally in a banking environment
• Strong experience with data analysis tools, particularly SAS, SQL, Microsoft reporting tools, or other equivalent technologies
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Strong troubleshooting skills- the ability to look at large sets of data and see how the pieces fit together
• Strong eye for detail
• Seamless ability to translate technical terminology into business speak, and vise versa
• Strong initiative and drive to improve processes and see assignments to completion
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Previous experience working with client data and client data processes
• Experience with, or exposure to Big Data principles, processes or products
• SAS certifications are a very nice bonus, no specific variety in mind
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, statistics, or a similar discipline
