QA Test Analyst – Native Mobile App
Contract Length: 9/9/2022 – 4 month contract
Location: Toronto / Remote for now – hybrid when going back to office

Story Behind the Need: Canadian Digital Banking Engineering – Applications is seeking a QA / QC Test Analyst 3 to support a combination of Payments Modernization project & Mobile Banking App Regression testing.
Business Group: Canadian Digital Banking Engineering – Mobile Applications is part of the Digital Group, focusing on high performance Mobile Banking application to all BNS customers.

Typical Day in the Role:
– Day starts as a true agile project, daily stand up scrum meetings
– Sprint planning , test scheduling and test execution
– App Installation & Testing
– Scrum ceremonies
– Create Test Plan , Traceability
– Execute Test scenarios, scripts or procedures
– Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
– Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
– Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
– Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
– Create or maintain databases of known test defects
– Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Must Have Skills/Requirements:
1. 5+ years of hands-on experience with native mobile app testing experience
2. 3+ years of experience iOS and/or Android mobile application testing
3. Recent project experience with Charles Proxy AND Postman – required: PLEASE HIGHLIGHT IN SUMMARY AND WITHIN RESUME
4. 2+ year's of native accessibility testing (all mobile testers run accessibility testing and work with team on developers)
Nice to Have Skills:
1. French testing experience and bilingual it is a plus
2. Ability to Check device log files (ADB , Log cat) and report crash logs

Education:
– Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
Interview Process:
– Microsoft Teams Interviews (1 technical IV with the team) – 1 hr – Video
– Technical Assessment: Will be directly asking questions based on the resume / skillset in the job description, Scenario based questions on white boarding
Additional Notes:
– Not much ramp up time
– Need a resource that can hit the ground running
– Training is minimal and should be able to pick up the skills required
