Story Behind the Need:
• Project: The main function of a QA Test Analyst is to develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution.

Daily roles and responsibilities:
• Actively participates in customer discovery and solution discovery sessions
• Engineers software solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders while focusing on continually reducing technical debt
• Sets up development environments necessary to build the entire solution
• Participates in merging, integrating, versioning, promoting, code through environments and version control
• Triaging and problem solving necessary to restore service to production and with follow on root cause / fix efforts
• Collaborates to provide estimation and break down of work to enable small and frequent releases to production
• Proactively provide guidance and recommendation for the software design
• Create, socialize and implement on technical roadmaps
• Provides expertise in the technologies and frameworks used to deliver on business objectives
• Stays ahead of latest technologies, tools, patterns, etc. and brings them to the team for consideration
• Actively participates in knowledge exchange forums (i.e. Architectural Communities of Practice, Industry Forums, Open Source Communities, Universities, etc.)
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of Java
• Excellent knowledge of Cucumber and Selenium framework and use them to automate UI features
• Excellent knowledge of PostMan and able to use it to automate API test cases (both SOAP and REST)
• Experience with automation framework using page object model
• Solid past experience (at least 3+ years) in UI and API automated testing for enterprise applications
• Working experience with version control software such as Git
• Good knowledge of Excel and SQL
• Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Experience testing process flow-related applications (product onboarding systems)
• Experience working in FI/Banking, especially with payment systems
Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
Best vs Average:
• Previous experience as an automation engineer lead
• Previous experience building an automation framework from scratch
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, software engineering or related field required
