Contract Duration: 6 months

Story Behind the Need:
• Project: Modernization of the old system with new functionalities. Migrating the functions over and need testing, as the technologies are different for the products being moved to the new platform.

Candidate Value Proposition:

Typical Day in Role:
• Develop test strategy for major features.
• Suggest and implement QA process improvements.
• Write and execute test cases based on requirements/user stories.
• Document, track, and retest issues found during testing.
• Document and communicate test activities and results.
• Research, suggest and implement tools to enhance test efficiency.
• Stand-up meetings to report work progress (Agile environment)
• Investigation of defects found, alongside the developers

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• Minimum 3 years of software QA experience in banking industry
• Experience in defining test cases based on requirements and technical specs
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel (Intermediate proficiency)

Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Capital Markets experience
• Experience writing complex SQL queries and database testing skills

Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
• Detail oriented
• Problem Solver

Best vs Average: High attention to detail, able to find as many bugs as possible, closely follows up with details to ensure they are fixed.

Degrees or certifications:
