Job Description
Summary
The main function of a non-IT program manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based program.
Job Responsibilities
• Coordinate programs, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
• Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
• Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of programs.
• Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss program specifications and procedures.
• Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Manage Data Governance roadmap and delivery initiatives.
• Gather and document business requirements.
• Create and prioritize epics, features, and user stories.
• Lead agile ceremonies and coordinate delivery teams.
• Engage stakeholders across business and technology groups.
• Monitor project risks, dependencies, and progress.
• Develop executive presentations, status reports, and business cases.
• Drive governance adoption, training, and change management activities.
• Track KPIs, adoption metrics, and value realization.
Approximately 40-60% of the day in stakeholder meetings, agile ceremonies, planning sessions, governance discussions, and leadership updates.

Skills
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
• Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS program, Visio etc.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree/Level of Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
Nice to have - Certifications
No mandatory certifications. Agile, Scrum, PMP, Product Management, Data Governance, or Cloud certifications are considered assets.
Years of Overall Experience:
8+ years of experience in Program Management, Product Management, Data Governance, Data & Analytics, or Enterprise Technology delivery.

Experienced Program Manager with a strong background in Data Governance, Data & Analytics, enterprise technology implementations, agile delivery, stakeholder management, and organizational change management.
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. PMI or PMP certification preferred. 5-7 years experience required.
Required Skills
• Strong Program/Product Management experience with Agile delivery methodologies. Business acumen should be there .
• Data Governance expertise, including metadata management, data quality, lineage, data access, governance controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working with enterprise data platforms and technologies such as Databricks Unity Catalog, Microsoft Azure, Informatica IDMC, Power BI, JIRA, and related analytics tools.
Soft Skills
• Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Strong executive communication, presentation, and influencing abilities.
• Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational leadership capabilities.
Preferred Skills
• Financial services or regulated industry experience.
• Experience developing governance operating models and business cases.
• Certifications in Agile, Scrum, PMP, Data Governance, Cloud Technologies, or Product Management.
