Location: Toronto (WFH for now)
Duration: 07/26/2021 to 10/29/2021 (3 month contract)
Business group: Product owners for transaction monitoring program. They are responsible for the oversight and the end to end process that supports the development of transaction monitoring rules for the AML program.
Project: Supporting the Transaction Monitoring roadmap and rolling out new transaction processing rules.

Typical Day in the role:
– This role supports the creation of many procedure and process documents which are required to meet milestone delivery dates, project deadlines and address audit findings, as well as ultimately help fulfill regulatory requirements through the implementation of the program and rules. (Delays to implementation of the program and rule enhancements could cause failure to meet regulatory requirements resulting in penalties, as well as prolong current FIU backlogs.)
– Risk assessment, provide supporting analysis for the development of rules
– Create test cases to support the requirement development process
– Facilitating meetings with stakeholders, pulling meeting materials together, assist with minute taking
– Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
– Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
Must have hard skills:
1. 2-5 + years of BA experience
2. 2+ years' experience in the financial crimes space (investigative, rule design, or prior experience in governance or policy)
Nice to have hard skills:
1. Analytics background
