Story behind the need:
Business group: Responsible for development and maintenance of bank’s retail & small business decisioning, regulatory capital, and provisioning models
Project: Design and deliver solutions that address the process and governance gaps identified in the internal audit findings.

Typical Day in the role:
– Act as a critical member of a team collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and internal partners
– Work, day-to-day, under the direction of the Director and in close collaboration with the Director to support the efforts of the VP to map existing (formal & informal) processes, conduct gap analysis, develop new and/or consolidated processes and the tools and capabilities necessary to:
• Manage and govern The Bank’s retail & small business risk decisioning models in accordance with internal and regulatory policies and guidelines
• Enable the consistent execution of The Bank’s Retail Model Procedure and Retail Model Implementation Guidelines spanning:
o Reviews, approvals, exceptions and sign-offs (by business, technical and governance stakeholders across multiple countries and geographies) of new, revised and/or decommissioned internally-developed and vendor-licensed models
o The execution of end-to-end testing, model production releases and/or deployments
o Model monitoring quality control plans
o Lead the development of a database that links to the Model Inventory and tracks lineage and usage
o Identify and define potential responsibilities and job requirements related to any ongoing Quality Assurance, Quality Control & Monitoring roles necessary to execute the new and revised processes
Potential deliverables / outcomes may include (but not be limited to):
– Mapping Policies & Requirements to Process Flows & Maps
– Defining New Processes & Controls
– Gap Analyses and Recommendations (with Project Plans)
– Checklists, Process Aids and/or Workflow / Business Process Automation Implementations
Must have hard skills:
1. 5+ years of experience in Business Process Engineering / Design / Management, Business Analysis, Operations and/or Logistics roles.
2. Business process engineering gap analysis, design & execution experience and knowledge (ability to revise existing processes, design, develop and execute / deliver new processes)
3. 5+ years of experience developing process aids, tools & automated solutions
4. Capable of creating and delivering effective presentations for senior management
Nice to have hard skills:
1. Banking/ FI experience
Soft Skills:
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills (10/10)
– Ability to work in a multi stakeholder environment
Education/ years of overall experience: Bachelor's degree, experience is more important
