Story Behind the Need:
The Senior Operations Analyst will be assisting in the implementation of the Simcorp SCDaaS conversion and version Upgrade Project. The upgrade project is a major undertaking that encompasses 3 phases: UAT execution, catch up and parallel activities. This role will work primarily on, though not limited to, the Simcorp conversion and upgrade.
• Project: Simcorp upgrade (multiple version upgrade and SAAS upgrade) involves testing, activities for a catch period and running parallel systems.

Typical Day in Role:
• Participate in user acceptance testing, documentation, planning and executions
• Identify potential issues/problems and documentation of all defects and resolutions
• Participate in the reconciliation and validation of data during the catch up and parallel phases
• Ensure all exceptions identified in the reconciliations are investigate and resolved
• Participate in the post upgrade data integrity activities and reconciliation
• Responsible for ensuring final product meets the business needs as outlined in the requirements documents
• Provide a very high level of professional service to customers (both internal and external) consistent with bank's core values
• Other duties may be assigned, as necessary
-primary focus will be on testing activities– documentation of test cases; defect resolutions; reconciliations
-catch up period – reconciliation, resolving of any exceptions
-post upgrade: data validations will take place
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) Simcorp experience – 2-3 years’ experience as a Simcorp user
2) Investment industry experience or exposure in wealth management / portfolio management
3) Strong MS Excel skills
4) Hands-on experience with Reconciliations (i.e. bank reconciliations)
5) Strong knowledge of equity, fixed income and derivative trading, settlement, Margin and Collateral processing
6) Functional and technical skills to design functional Test cases
