Paid Social Media Manager
Story Behind the Need
Develop and deliver breakthrough social media marketing for a variety of the bank’s products and brand initiatives. This individual will bring an extensive understanding of social media marketing, ad platforms and social media channels. The desired candidate will be an expert with social media analytics and measurement – with experience outlining success metrics and reporting on campaign results. You will be responsible for managing relationships with line of business leads, developing the social media strategies, implementing some of the strategies as part of the internal media team and working with our agency partners to ensure all social campaigns are planned and executed smoothly.
Typical Day in Role:
• Develop paid social media strategies on a campaign level and work with partners and agencies to bring them to life – strong focus on relationship building with social media partners and drive incremental value from those partnerships
• Help define the bank’s social media marketing strategy and amplification practices, focusing on Facebook partners, and relaying analysis of strategy back to the team eg. how to be investing behind content to get more value, and how it drives conversion metrics
• Build, lead, and ensure high-impact response to test & learn approach to new social media marketing activities and platforms, such as working with TikTok as an emerging platform
• Based on a clear understanding of the bank’s market segmentation, strategize and tailor messages & offerings to the right groups, identify opportunities and enhance the client experiences
• Act as a Centre of Excellence and internal expert on all things social media
• Work closely with the rest of the social media team on larger social media marketing strategies, with a strong focus on paid advertising
• Regularly meet with channel partners to explore new and developing products and opportunities
• Continuously look for new and innovative opportunities in social media marketing
• Drive incremental value for the team’s strategy showcasing a solid understanding of the platforms used
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5+ years of marketing and advertising experience, with at least 2 years in a strategic capacity
2) Paid Social Media Marketing experience – must understand paid social campaigns
3) 2-3+ years In Social Ad Platform experience – put through ads in DSPs, write strategies
4) Proven experience managing budgets and allocating dollars strategically
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience managing large campaigns with numerous stakeholders
2) Facebook BluePrint certification an asset
3) Google Ads certification an asset
Soft Skills Required – note, these as are important as the must haves
• Strong communication skills required to clearly articulate findings etc.
• Demonstrated experience showcasing collaboration and stakeholder management
• Strategic thinker
• Analytical, detail-oriented nature with experience reporting on insights and campaign results.

Post-secondary education
