Node.js/ Java Developer

Typical Day in Role:
• Design, develop, and implement frontend applications and microservices, using in-demand languages and technologies (e.g., Node Js, Express Js and/or Java)
• Coding, implementing unit tests
• Responsible for nonfunctional testing, load testing
• Working with other back-end teams external to Commerce Engineering to design the solutions
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
• Working on enhancement of existing applications

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 7+ years of hands-on experience Node.js, ideally with Express.js
2) 7+ years of hands-on experience with frontend technology in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
3) 5+ years of hands-on experience of deploying code through DevOps Pipelines
4) 3+ years of hands-on experience within an Agile framework
5) 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java

Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) 2+ years’ development experience with Salesforce (Web to Lead) a strong asset
2) 5+ years of hands-on experience in SQL Database
3) High level understanding of Cloud technologies (Google, Public, Microsoft, Amazon etc.)
4) FI/Banking
5) Experience on Regulatory Projects

Soft Skills Required:
• Strong communication – verbal & written

Education:
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
