Network/Systems Analyst
Typical Day in Role:
• Replace old end of life network gear with updated version throughout the Toronto campus
• Communicate with customers, sales staff, or marketing staff to determine customer needs Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades
• Design, build, or operate equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, servers, or server operation systems
• Determine specific network hardware or software requirements such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas
• Develop and implement solutions for network problems
Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:
1. 5+ years of Network/Systems Administration or related work experience
2. Technical working experience in supporting, deploying and interconnecting various network technologies at an enterprise scale
3. Hands on working experience with Networking operations systems such as Cisco (CCNA/CCNP)
4. Hands on working experience with Data network technologies and solutions such as LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, Firewall technologies, gateways, load balancing and WAN optimization
5. Knowledge of IP enable voice network technologies, VOIP network design and VOIP integration
6. Knowledge of DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and other IP services
Nice to Have Skills
• Prior experience working on a large Network Upgrade project

• Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate and work closely with the internal team
• Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction
• Good time management and organizational skills to effectively manage high scale project
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
