Story Behind the Need
Business group: Canadian Banking Marketing
Project: Contributes to the overall success of the Credit Card & Unsecured Lines of Credit product acquisition marketing in Canada, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Typical Day in Role:
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
• Accountable for the planning, deployment, and measurement of mass acquisition marketing and communication strategies to achieve business targets for Credit Cards and Unsecured Lending Products.
• Leverages data and insights to position and differentiate Scotiabank’s products and services amongst key target audiences to support sales goals.
• Supports the strategy, creative design, and execution of integrated marketing plans and communication tactics to drive customer acquisition.
• Areas of responsibility include (but not limited to): social and digital campaigns and managing channel assets, broadcast advertising, credit card affiliate partnerships, and in-branch retail marketing.
• Leads project management of highly complex marketing initiatives with competing deadlines and multiple stakeholders. Thrives on the owning all the details and ensures deadlines are met. Has the ability to pivot with changes in direction and implement contingency plans.
• Communicates & collaborates with key partners including Business Lines, Digital Marketing, Retail Customer Growth, Retail Customer Insights and Analytics, Customer Experience, Legal and Compliance teams. Leads effective meetings by developing presentations, setting agendas, and following up on action items.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5-8 years of experience in a marketing or advertising role
2) Demonstrated success in managing complex, detailed projects with competing deadlines and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience within Financial Institutions
2) Experience with Credit Card marketing
3) Experience with affiliate marketing
Soft Skills Required:
• Extremely detail oriented and passionate about working on multiple priorities at once
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
Education:
• College diploma/University degree in marketing, business, or similar careers
