Position Title: L&D Designer/Developer III

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The main function of the L&D Designer is to design high quality, interactive, fully accessible, multi-approach blended learning and performance solutions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert with both practical and technical expertise in areas of instructional design for all learning approaches
- Participates in and contributes to the scoping of projects and planning, ensuring learner experience and objectives are met
- Ensures projects and learning solutions meet quality standards and achieve success criteria while managing scope, risks and stakeholder engagement, and problem resolution
- Ability to synthesize, simplify and communicate complex information and theoretical concepts while applying clear language principles
- Performs design on multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity and modalities (i.e., classroom, virtual, self-led)
- Creates learning solutions while ensuring alignment to brand, learner accessibility and principles of diversity and inclusion, leveraging established standards and guidelines
- Continuously enhances knowledge / expertise in own area and participates in knowledge transfer within the team while keeping current with leading edge technology trends and developments
- Adept at interacting with diverse groups of internal partners at all levels as well as external vendors
MUST HAVE:
- 5+ yrs exp. as an Instructional Designer, designing all modalities (i.e. instructor led – classroom & virtual materials; eLearning storyboard; self led learning)
- Exp. designing engaging virtual classroom programs using virtual classroom tool (i.e., Adobe Connect)
- Advanced MS Office (PowerPoint & Word)
NICE TO HAVE:
- Instructional Design experience supporting the financial industry
- Educational background in Instructional Design / Adult Learning Certificate
