Story Behind the Need
• Business group: GWRT – US AML Technology
• Project: Global Sanctions Capability Enhancement (GSCE) Project requires a developer to implement code changes to support work scheduled to start in March and lasting until August. This work is regulatory in nature and must be completed in FY2022.
• Reason for request: New phase of project requires additional resources
Candidate Value Proposition
– The successful candidate will have the opportunity to leverage DevOps and new technology (dealing with the data platform). Would be working with Nifi, Elastic Search, and Kafka
Typical Day in Role
• Will need to code to spec and work with unit and development testing. Responsible for whole SDLC. Work with requirements to build and design as seen fit, responsible for enhancing existing processes and building new ones.
• Development responsibilities are 100% back end
o Receiving data sources from upstream. Upstream system will do enhancements and enrichment. Once this data is received by the team, candidate will further work the data to share with business users and applications. Data must be reformatted so that it may be consumed by the legacy system
• Working independently to achieve project deliverables
• Focused on the critical regulatory compliance initiative and will not need to divert attention to other projects
• May need to conduct some support work after hours (not common but may come up post-implementation)
• The core of the project is the distribution of sanctions data to downstream consumers inside and outside the back, and ensure that the bank is compliant with sanctions from different regions
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 5-7 years’ recent experience with Java development
• 5-7 years’ experience with Nifi, Elastic Search, Kafka, JSON
• 5-7 years’ experience with DevOps experience
• Data experience (sanctions data, FX): data transformations and data processing
o E.g. under 1,000,000 records a day that need to be processed within a couple of hours
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Capital markets experience is an asset
• Experience with production type support. Need to do some post-implementation support
Soft Skills:
• Organized and able to meet daily SLAs
• Documentation of code
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

• Structure and Format: One round (with panel of 2-3 team members and management). Potential second round if full panel is not available for first round
