IT Security Analyst/ SailPoint
Story Behind the Need
We are looking for a resource with previous SailPoint expertise to help move the organization’s IAM access governance strategy forward. The main function of an IT Security Analyst is to plan, coordinate, and implement security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure of information.
Typical Day in Role
• Review roles strategy including:
o How roles should be setup within IIQ
o Define role bundles and assist in restructuring entitlements into roles
o Clean up of 1-1, role to entitlement mapping
o Review, define and remediate segregation of duties (SOD) policy violations
o Review and update IT role descriptions
• Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans
• Involved in identifying and remediating orphan accounts
• Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services including project leadership roles
• Develop and interpret security policies and procedures
• Develop and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness and specific security technology training
• Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies
Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills
1) 2-5+ years of previous experience working with SailPoint
2) 5+ years of IAM experience
3) Solid understanding of RBAC (Role Based Access Control)
4) Advanced analytical skills, specifically data analysis
5) Information Security background including an understanding of the basic security best practices, standards and methodologies
Nice to Have Skills
• Technical designation is considered an asset (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP)
• Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset
• Identity Lifecyle Management knowledge
• Previous experience working within a Financial Institution/Bank
Soft Skills
• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization
• Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction
• Good time management and organizational skills to effectively manage high scale project
Education/Experience:
• Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as technology, cybersecurity program
