Story Behind the Need
• Business group: Project Delivery & Support
• Project: Garnishments/Attachments Order Initiative.
• Reason for request: Resource required to meet requirements for Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) project deadline of Q3 2022.

Typical Day in Role
• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
• Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements
• Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 5-6+ years of experience managing projects for large organizations within the Financial Industry (ideally within big 5 banks)
• Technical knowledge and good at working with multiple tech teams
• 7+ years of experience as an IT PM
• PMP certificate
• At least 3-5 years of Application Development, Software Upgrade and Software Maintenance Projects
• Excellent communication skills to manage project life cycle with Senior Stake holders and business users – will have to lead steerco committee meetings with the Program Manager
• Full Software Development Life Cycle- Agile Methodology and Waterfall Methodology
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Previous experience with banking
• Familiar with PEGA applications
• Experience with Infrastructure Projects
• Managed Project Team of at least 15 people or more across multiple departments
Soft Skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills to help foster & build working relationships
• Politeness and professionalism will be required to be effective in this role
Best vs Average:
• Previous experience within banking
• Familiar with PEGA applications
• Understanding internal banking processes (retail, customer processes, etc)
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• PMP certificate required
