Story Behind the Need:
• Project: The IT Project Manager will be tasked with finishing the Online Publishing System (OLP) for the Replacement Project that is currently mid-stage.

Typical Day in Role:
• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
• Partner closely with other members of functional teams to define business requirements Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• IT Application Project Manager (manage and lead technical projects to completion, manage the day-to-day project activities, collaborate with stakeholders and work with other teams to troubleshoot problems that come up during the project lifecycle) – 10+ years of hands-on experience
• Ownership of financials (managed $5MM+ budget) – 5+ years of experience
• Vendor Management – 5+ years of experience
• Experience with executive sponsor ownership & Delivering to executive (VP+) steer committees– 5+ years of hands-on experience
• Agile -5+ years of experience
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• FI/Banking Experience
• CA PPM Experience

Best vs Average:
• Previous FI/Banking experience in a similar role
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline, preferrably within IT
• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification required
• Scrum certification is an asset
