Story Behind the Need:
• Project: The group is working on the Trade Surveillance Project and managing multiple streams throughout the project life cycle. The group is looking for a project manager to work on key deliverables who can manage a large scope of independently.

Typical Day in Role:
• The main function of an IT Project Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities that include project design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting.
• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
• Partner closely with other members of functional teams to define business requirements Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5 + years’ managing end to end projects (minimum $5million scope of work)
2) PMP Certified
3) Excellent communication skills to work on Project Management experience, specifically around project tracking, status, working with stakeholders to ensure that risk and issues for project is moving along
4) Experience working in day to day stand ups and comfortable to working with stakeholder population to ensure key deliverables are tracked and maintained throughout the project life cycle
5) Minimum 2 Recent projects within the Financial Industry, ideally within Capital Markets

-People management and team building skills Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
-Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
– Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
-Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
Nice-To-Have Skills:
– Capital Markets experience is a plus
– Agile project experience is a plus (running scrum board, Jira experience); risk and status CSM is a plus
– Experience working on Cost estimations and business case is a plus
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Certifications – CSM is a plus
