Role: IT Project Manager

Story Behind the Need
• Business group: Resource Management group is seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager with a technical background, preferably in development to manage the Phase II for the eHome (e-mortgaging) project. The Technical Project Manager will have strong finance management experience and ideally have experience working with Vendors or come from a Vendor such as CGI or Deloitte).

Typical Day in Role
• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
• Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements
• Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) Overall 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager
2) Strong understanding of PMLC (Project Management Life Cycle) – 4+ years
3) Experience managing mid-size projects – 2MM+
4) Experience managing the financial for projects (there is no PCO for this project)
5) Experience being a hands-on Project Manager – writing business requirement documents
6) Prior experience working with a technical team – Development background preferred (should be able to actively participate and speak on technicalities of projects during discussion meetings with development team)
7) Experience working with Vendors or come from a Vendor such as CGI or Deloitte
8) Independent worker that doesn’t have to rely on a Program Manager; Is a go-getter
9) Prior experience at a Bank or Financial company (consulting is preferred)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
– Experience working on e-mortgaging projects
– Agile experience
– PMP or CSM certified
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
