Intermediate Marketing Consultant

The Mobility Business Marketing team is responsible for the end-to-end analysis, development and implementation of marketing programs aimed at generating demand with new and existing customers for new and existing products and solutions within the client’s dynamic and growing business portfolio. This role has a specific focus on Medium and Enterprise segments and the Internet of Things (IoT) portfolio in addition to other next generation business services.
The team is growing and currently seeking a highly motivated, results driven and execution excellence Specialist. Supported by the Senior Manager, Event Marketing, this position provides an excellent opportunity to work in a high profile, dynamic and challenging environment tasked with exponential growth. The selected candidate will plan multi – tactic demand generation event programs plus event execution for client facing events.

Core responsibilities

Develop event marketing campaigns that drive awareness and generate demand. Event campaigns are either a hosted seminar or sponsored industry event.

Event strategy

•Research industry events to determine opportunities for client to participate
•Develop the promotional strategy leading up to the event
•Drive attendance to the event
•Design content outline for speaking engagements
•Determine what will make the event engaging and what format is best suited
•Monitor and understand KPIs to understand event campaign performance and take short and long term actions to improve performance

Event execution:

•Develop budgets, WBS and production schedules
•Onsite execution at events across Canada
•Source and manage AV requirements
•Source venues and manage F&B requirements
•Understand of standard rates for venues, F&B and AV costs

Post event evaluation:

•Develop post mortem reports for Director and VP review
•Work cross functionally with sales reps and partners to report results

Work cross functionally with:

•marketing communications, acquisition marketing, business analytics, sales teams and external vendors and agencies

Critical Qualifications:

•5+ year’s event marketing experience (within telecommunications and IoT is an asset)
•Event planning and execution
•Strong business acumen, with an appreciation for the need to analyze information, determine what it means for the business and quickly execute in an ever-evolving competitive environment
•Solid Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, and an ability to use both mediums to tell concise, actionable stories to all levels of the organization (channel agents and executives)
•Working knowledge of Salesforce.com (is an asset)
•Ability to draft program and marketing briefs in a clear and articulate manner
•Demonstrated knowledge of marketing across all media types
•Excellent oral, written and presentation skills (French an asset)
•Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage change in a fast paced environment
•Establish & maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams
•Excellent time management and organizational skills; Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
•Have a passion for success and results oriented
•Attention to detail
•Customer focused, team player, innovative and self-motivated
•Ability to travel within Canada
Must have a valid driver’s license and able to rent cars
